Campgran de Cal Mandrat is an organic white wine made from 80% Riesling and 20% Gewüztraminer. The complex high mountain climate and a delicate winemaking process give the wine an exceptional silkiness and unctuousness. The climate affords it a unique character and enables it to evolve surprisingly well in the bottle thanks to its natural acidity.
COLOUR
Straw-coloured with greenish tones.
NOSE
Delicate and perfumed with notes of white wildflowers, a touch of citrus all accompanied by hints of minerals.
PALATE
Fruity and elegant, harmonious and a well-balanced acidity characteristic of high mountain wines. It has a long finish

THE LABEL/THE ARTIST
Nu del cavall
The label is a painting entitled: 'Nu del cavall', painted in 1985 by María Teresa Peris Estrada, mother of Javier Güell, owner of the vineyard.
She was a muralist and teacher at l'Escola d'Arts i Oficis de Barcelona and her work is characterized by the diversity of techniques used: pencil, charcoal, ink, oil, egg paint, acrylics, tempera, engravings. Before her death at the age of 57, she was working on the restoration plans of the chapel where her remains lay.
